Hand-Carved Wooden Bar Backdrop
Hand-Carved Wooden Bar Backdrop

The backdrop for the bar in adorned with hand carved wood. The left panel in the photo displays the King George Carving - It was made out of French Oak and French Pine, in the 1880's and came out of an old hotel. It was originally placed above a two-door entryway to a grand room or ballroom. The hotel was torn down and the piece moved to the new King George Hotel in Paris. The piece honored King George the 5th as the hotel was named in his honor.
